If you owned a store, what would you sell there?
Stuff. Antiques, and New Design Stuff, Objet Trouvées. Old Toys. Camera, vintage watches and old fountain pens. Music and Books. Stuff I buy second hand, restore and re-sell. Should be quite an interesting shop, with hopefully nice and interesting customers.
If you owned a restaurant, what sort of food (cuisine) would you serve?
Probably classic German Stuff, maybe with a hint of humor and irony. There’s not enough of that going around, we either got lots of foreign restaurants (which are all quite good, except for the fact that there is a flood of turkish and italian fast food stuff and not that much else besides), or German restaurants which either try to opt for nouvelle cuisine (and mostly fail) or take themselves too serious. Old-fashioned and funny, delicious and maybe not too much heavy stuff, less meat, less fatty. Feel-good food. Also, once upon a time I really thought it would be keen to open up a Fondue-Restaurant. You just provide the ingredients and the customers basically cook for themselves – and it should be interesting to see what kind of people come to a restaurant like this, where you cannot munch down your dinner, but rather have to take time, talk, enjoy the evening.
If you could speak another language perfectly, what would it be?
Dutch. I’m really kinda jealous of Markus in that regard (well, not only in that).
If you were a doctor, what would be your specialty?
Psychology, I think.
If you could have your dream job, what would it be?
Kinda like the one I got, probably with the usual addendums: More clients, more creative freedom, more money and all that jazz. Well, yeah, everybody wants that.
And of course all kinds of jobs closely related to what I already do – working in architecture, music, theatre, maybe writing. Also, lecturer on design in a good school would be cool :-D.
If you could have your dream partner what two qualities must they have above all others?
Humour and a strange blend of passion and patience.
Pretty inspirational questions found on Jonathan Carrols Blog…
